St. Cross grave chapel of the Ordęga family

In 1852, Jan Ordęga, the owner of Żelechów at the time, built a burial chapel for his family at the main avenue of the burial cemetery, under the invocation of the Holy Cross. Jan Ordęga's wife rests in the tomb beneath the chapel. 1934 saw the death of the last among the male line of the Żelech's Ordęga family, Jan Michał. The burial chapel represents the classicist style. It stands on a rectangular plan. It is made of brick and plastered. The front elevation is crowned with a triangular apex with a tympanum filled with stucco decoration with floral motifs. A relief of two angels sits above the door. The roof is pitched and covered with sheet metal. The interior houses an altar and epitaphs. The lower part of the chapel hides 13 coffins.
